Canale dei Molini

Canale dei Molini is a line of wines that evokes the ancientmap drawn by Leonardo Da Vinci in 1502.

Through this project, we rediscover an extraordinary work of hydraulic engineering: the Canale dei Molini—a canal lined with 24 mills that, since the Middle Ages, has stretched for over 42 kilometers across the countryside surrounding the city of Imola, bringing life to the many crops growing along its banks.

Today, as in the past, its waters flow through our vineyards, nourishing our vines. The wines in this range take their names from the historic watermills found along this canal.

The mission of this line is twofold: first, to preserve and promote awareness of this important chapter in the history of Imola; and second, to place strong emphasis on environmental stewardship, increasingly enhancing sustainable and responsible vineyard and winemaking practices.
