90% Sangiovese 10%Merlot

The structure and composition of the soil—rich in clay, limestone, and fossil shells—ensure excellent water retention, allowing the vines to withstand the warm Tuscan summers while enabling the grapes to ripen in a balanced and harmonious way. Alongside the traditional Sangiovese, selected clones of Merlot and Syrah have been planted in areas where these international varieties best express the unique microclimatic characteristics of the territory. The vineyards are located at an altitude of approximately 250 meters above sea level, with a south-west exposure that ensures optimal sunlight throughout the day, favoring balanced grape ripening. The soils, of marine origin, are rich in limestone and clay, providing excellent water retention and contributing to the wine’s structure, freshness, and mineral character. The vines are trained using the Vertical Shoot Positioned (VSP) trellis system, a cultivation method that promotes ideal canopy management and grape quality.

Chianti DOCG Riserva

Extended maceration for full extraction of color, flavor and tannins from the grape skins. Fermentation at 28–30 °C in stainless steel settling tanks for 10 days. The wine is aged for 15 months in French oak barrels, partly new and partly previously used. This ageing process enhances the wine’s structure and complexity while preserving balance and elegance, allowing the fruit character to integrate harmoniously with delicate spicy and toasted notes imparted by the wood.
